Our Story
Farming isn't easy. Why farm?
There are many driving forces that compel me and others like me to take up farming, gardening, community gardens, and even indoor vegetable and fruit-producing plants. Some of those are:
Local food from a sustainable resource.
Fresh food is the best food.
Self-Sufficiency.
Farm to table.
Growing food organically.
Edible landscapes instead of grass farms.
Agri-voltaic farming.
Reducing food insecurity in the community.
Get out of your chair and into nature.
The idea for the farm started during the pandemic when there were supply chain issues and concerns about the availability of products… Shortly after that, there was a convergence of many other concepts that led to the birth of the farm.
At Five a Day, we look to provide healthy food and food-related products that inspire people to eat more fruits and veggies.
